and Tourism
International
tourism has brought about enormous benefits to many places. At the same time,
there is concern about its impact on local inhabitants and the environment. Do
the advantages outweigh disadvantages?
Life has changed a lot in recent years. With the scientific revolution, majority of corporate working class is engrossed in their stressful jobs day in and day out. Weekend and holidays are the only getaway from their mind draining jobs. Many feel that this is one of the reason for the rise in continental trips. Without any doubt the global tourist attractions have evolved to provide good number of customers for a variety of businesses.
A good amount of people believe that this surge of tourists are one of the pivotal factor for trading. Furthermore, some areas solely rely on tourists as their revenue. To illustrate, Goa state from India has international ties all across the world. Quite famous for its beaches and cuisine, Goa offers exactly similar conditions as any small equatorial island would do, to add a cherry on top it is quite cheap and affordable. The locals hold a good relationship with the travelers as their trades thrive on their arrival which is certainly advantageous for them.
Some people believe that international travelers are one of the reasons creating disturbances on the environment. To throw a light on this, if there would be more influx of humans in any area, more facilities would be made available. Businesses related to accommodations, vehicles, etc. would generate more waste. For the newer provisions roads are broadened, illegal buildings built, causing huge deforestation. Although the localities get good monetary benefits, in exchange they also try to copy different cultures.
To conclude, I encourage there should be certain strict check for the amount of visitors to balance the nice relationship between nature and mankind. If this is not done then certainly travel across the countries would be disadvantageous. We have always exploited the nature. The only solution could be to adapt minimalism with nature to stop its excessive use.
