Media and Advertising

With the development of the media online, there is no future for the radio.

To what extent do you agree?

Internet has evolved a lot in recent years. With the growth in software technology, many old technologies have come to rest. There is no denying if a better upgrade in available over any area, we should adapt it.

Many people believe that the online media is quite handy, one can get whatever information needed at any given time. There are numerous new applications which especially serve the purpose of news on smart phones. A bunch of algorithms developed by companies like google provide personalized news feed once we are connected over the internet. It basically provides information in depth about the topics which an individual likes, in addition the intelligent apps take feedback through the number of clicks. Certainly, it has its own traits and advantages. While news on radio was only transmitted via speech, in the online way we have options of video, audio and text. Many radio apps are present which help us to listen without any noise disturbance.

On one hand we are behind the latest technical advances, on the other hand we forget that still many remote areas do not have the infrastructure for internet. Radios serve the best purposes in such terrains. Furthermore, radio waves are capable of travelling long distances. It is considered as one of the best ways to communicate during catastrophes, natural disasters, wars and infrastructure failures. This old and reliable engineering has to be maintained as they can be used readily in many backup situations.

To conclude though there is drop in users of radio, it is a proven mode for reception of information. I believe the future for radio is stagnant, but not dark. It is always better to have some tools at emergencies.
